NaTakallam is an award-winning, social enterprise that offers high-quality, curated language services delivered by refugees and displaced persons through the gig economy.
NaTakallam provides refugees with the training and mentorship needed to perform the services, which offer a pathway to sustainable income during and after displacement and/or in the early stages of resettlement. Meanwhile, NaTakallam provides clients with a much-needed service that in turn, provides a livelihood to refugees, regardless of their location/status. To date, displaced persons have self-generated over 700,00USD through NaTakallam.

Job Description

NaTakallam originally started as a B2C program, selling language sessions online to individuals. Since our launch, organizational sales and clients have become the main driver of our income and impact.
We sell language learning and translation services to both nonprofit and corporate organizations. We are currently looking for a highly skilled, interpersonal and passionate individual to spearhead our sales. The consultant will work closely with the CEO, marketing/SM team and heads of the various departments and will be in charge of supporting all three business lines of NaTakallam’s growth (language learning and translation services). The regional focus of the position will be USA, Europe as well as Middle East. The candidate should be open and willing to travel as needed, though the expectation is that a significant amount of sales can be done remotely through the internet. The candidate should have a go getter attitude that is able to convey the meaning of NaTakallam’s social impact all while sealing a deal and ensuring all is done with quality and tact.

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead corporate, Government, and non-profit organizations sales of our language learning and translation services
  • Manage organizational sales by developing, in conjunction with senior team, a business plan that covers sales, revenue and expense controls.
  • Meeting planned sales goals.
  • Setting individual sales targets with the team.
  • Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary.
  • Coordinating with marketing on lead generation.
  • Developing sales team/support through motivation, counseling and product knowledge education.
  • Promoting the organization and products.
  • Understanding our ideal customers and how they relate to our products.
  • Developing and preparing presentations for prospective clients.
  • Following up with regular meetings with both active and prospective clients.
  • Creating and updating client profiles.
  • Attending conferences as needed

Preferred Experience

  • Excellent people skills and capacity to balance NaTakallam’s messaging as a social enterprise, a point in which impact and commercial business meet.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
  • Experience in customer relationship management.
  • Dedication to providing great customer service.
  • Capacity to work in chaotic, fast-paced, startup environment
  • Capable of working efficiently, remotely.
